Curriculum

Continuity of care of patients is the core of family medicine philosophy and is a top priority in our program. We provide the longitudinal hands-on training for our resident physicians in the Family Medicine Continuity Clinic (FMCC).

Residents will have regularly assigned hours at the FMCC for the three-year duration of the Residency Program. The requirements for the FMCC are as follows:

  • PGY–1: one half day per week
  • PGY–2: two half days per week on average
  • PGY–3: three half days per week on average

Core rotations include inpatient and outpatient Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and General Surgery. Some variation is possible within ACGME guidelines and rotations may occasionally change. Rotations are one month each. These are the rotation schedules currently being used.
