Overview of the Unit
The Emergency Department at Valley Hospital Medical Center (VHMC) provides medical treatment for patients of all ages for minor, urgent, emergency and critical situations. The ER at VHMC is a 54-bed unit that includes 25 ER beds, five Health Xpress/Rapid Treatment Room beds, 10 observation beds, seven chest pain center beds and six Rapid Treatment Room beds. The ER uses the Emergency Nurse Association and American Association of Critical Care Nurses as guidelines for care delivery.

The ER is looking for applicants for the following areas:
- Registered nurse (RN)
- Tech– ED
- Patient transporters
- Unit coordinator
Qualifications
Applicants are expected to maintain the following qualifications:
- American Heart Association BLS/PALS/ACLS
- CPI within six months of hire
- Experience preferred
- New graduates welcome, but must be highly motivated and successfully complete an ED internship program
