The Joint Commission
Valley Hospital Medical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission, licensed by the Department of Health for the State of Nevada, and affiliated with the American Hospital Association, the Federation of American Hospitals, the Association of Western Hospitals and the Nevada Hospital Association.
Valley Hospital has been accredited by The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center since October 2007.
Chest Pain Center Accredited with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
Valley Hospital Medical Center is the first Nevada hospital to be designated as an "Accredited Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention" by the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC), a patient centric non-profit international professional organization focused upon improving care for patients with acute coronary syndromes and other related maladies. The accreditation reflects the hospital's goal to provide percutaneous coronary intervention to patients, if needed, within 90 minutes of arrival.
Heart Failure Accredited by Society of Chest Pain Centers
Valley Hospital Medical Center is is the seventh hospital in the nation to be designated as an Accredited Heart Failure Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers, a patient centric non-profit international professional organization focused upon improving care for patients with acute coronary syndromes and other related maladies. The accreditation reflects the hospital's goal to effectively care for heart failure patients by reducing their time to treatment in the emergency department, better manage their care, and decrease their length of stay.
