Valley Hospital Receives Nevada's First Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI Designation

(Las Vegas, NV) - Valley Hospital is the first hospital in Nevada to be designated as an “Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI” by the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC), a patient centric non-profit international professional organization focused upon improving care for patients with acute coronary syndromes and other related maladies.

“With thisaccreditation, our community and visitors will have a primary destination when experiencing chest pain or symptoms of a heart attack,” said Gregory E. Boyer, CEO/Managing Director for Valley Hospital.

“This reflects our commitment to a protocol-driven and systematic approach to reduce treatment time during the critical early stages of a heart attack. The additional designation ‘with PCI’ illustrates Valley Hospital’s commitment to conducting percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on patients with ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) within 90 minutes of arrival at our Emergency department,” said Boyer.
