GME: Program Overview
The Graduate Medical Education program was established in July 2006, and has grown to include 83 interns and residents in internal medicine, family medicine, traditional internship, neurology, dermatology, orthopedics and pulmonary medicine. Additional residencies and fellowships are under consideration.
Interns and residents enjoy the Graduate Medical Education Center that has a large auditorium, featuring a "Smart Podium" with the latest electronics to assist learning, a lounge, libraries and call rooms.
The program subscribes to the MD Consult electronic library, as well as Up-to-Date for the latest in research on any medical topic. The medicine teams utilize Milliman's Care Guideline for evidence based practice guidelines. In addition to our own "hard copy" library, all program participants have full access to the Touro University online library.
The program faculty includes more than 60 physicians with representation from over 20 specialties and subspecialties.
