Valley Hospital Medical Center's Family Medicine Residency Program is a three-year (36 month) osteopathic postgraduate program. The program is an AOA-approved residency with both DO and MD faculty attendings. Core rotations include Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and General Surgery.
Continuity of care of patients is the core of family medicine philosophy and is a top priority in our program. We have partnered with Southwest Medical Associates (SMA), a large, multi-clinic ambulatory care system that provides evidenced-based, quality healthcare to thousands Southern Nevada residents. The clinic setting helps to provide the longitudinal hands-on training for our resident physicians in the Family Medicine Continuity Clinic.
